MUNG AND SOYA KHEER

MUNG  AND  SOYA  KHEER:

INGREDIENTS:

1  cup each, soya granules and mung dal
                       ( split green gram )
1  litre  milk
2  cups sugar
1  tsp  ghee
4-5  cashew nuts
1  tsp  cardamom powder

METHOD:

  • Boil mung dal in water till soft but separate. Boil soya granules in water till soft.
  • Squeeze out water and grind to a coarse paste with little milk.
  • Mix together mung dal, soya paste, sugar and remaining milk and boil for 5 minutes.
  • Heat ghee in a ladle and fry cashew nuts in it till golden brown. Add cardamom powder and drizzle over the kheer. Serve hot.
NOTES:  Rich in protein.
